Complications of Angina
| About complications: Complications of Angina are secondary conditions, symptoms, or other disorders that are caused by Angina. In many cases the distinction between symptoms of Angina and complications of Angina is unclear or arbitrary. |
Complications list for Angina: The list of complications that have been mentioned in various sources for Angina includes:
- Heart attack - Angina may be the start of a heart attack and having angina raises the risk of a later heart attack
- Heart damage (see Heart symptoms) - Angina usually indicates some sort of heart problem that may become serious.
Complications of Angina:
An episode of angina is not a heart attack,
but it does mean that you have a greater chance of having a heart attack.
Angina pain means that some of the heart muscle is not getting enough
blood temporarily. A heart attack, on the other hand, occurs when the
blood flow to a part of the heart is suddenly and permanently cut off,
usually by a blood clot. This can lead to serious heart damage. 1
