Introduction: Glomerular Disease
Glomerular Disease: Condition affecting the glomerules in the kidney.
Glomerular Disease: Many diseases affect kidney function by attacking the tiny units within the kidney where blood is cleaned. Glomerular diseases include many conditions with a variety of genetic and environmental causes, but they fall into two major categories:
- Glomerulonephritis (gloh-MAIR-yoo-loh-neh-FRY-tis) describes the
inflammation of the membrane tissue in the kidney that serves as a
filter, separating wastes and extra fluid from the blood.
- Glomerulosclerosis (gloh-MAIR-yoo-loh-skleh-ROH-sis) describes the scarring or hardening of the tiny blood vessels within the kidney.
Researching symptoms of Glomerular Disease: Further information about the symptoms of Glomerular Disease is available including a list of symptoms of Glomerular Disease, other diseases that might have similar symptoms in differential diagnosis of Glomerular Disease, or alternatively return to research other symptoms in the symptom center.
Misdiagnosis and Glomerular Disease: Research more detailed information about misdiagnosis of Glomerular Disease, underlying causes of Glomerular Disease (possibly misdiagnosed), or research misdiagnosis of other diseases
Treatments for Glomerular Disease: Various information is available about treatments available for Glomerular Disease, or research treatments for other diseases.
Causes of Glomerular Disease:
Research more detailed information about the causes of Glomerular Disease,
other possibly hidden causes of Glomerular Disease,
or other general information about Glomerular Disease.
