Lateral Medullary Syndrome: Wallenberg's syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by swallowing difficulties and hoarseness which results from paralysis of a portion of the vocal cord. The disorder is generally caused by a blockage in a vertebral or cerebellar artery. 1
