Medical News Summary (summary of medical news story as reported by WebMD Medical News): Evista, a treatment drug for osteoporosis, has shown signs of reducing risk of breast cancer in post menopausal women. In trials, it has reduced the risk by two thirds which is quite significant. Evista does have some side effects including a small risk for blood clots. Tamoxifen is an approved cancer prevention drug but it increases the risk of endometrial cancer.
