Introduction: The ordinary usage of the word "muscle" refers to skeletal muscle. This is the best known type of muscle that is voluntary controlled for our movement. Such muscles are attached to bones by tendons. There are almost 700 skeletal muscles in the human body. The other type of muscle in the body is involuntary muscle, which includes smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, and is controlled by the autonomic nervous system.
